Job Description:
Program Advisors act as expert consultants for people interested in learning to teach English as a foreign language and in teaching English abroad. They provide advice and support through every step of the process, from pre-enrollment advising to post-program follow-up. Experience teaching English abroad as well as a high degree of global awareness is essential for this position.
Job Duties:
Pre-Enrollment Advising Duties
- Advising customers on all BridgeTEFL products and services, while always providing high-quality customer service.
- Recommending the “best fit” for our customers
- Receiving and following up on inquiries via e-mail, telephone, and/or in-person in a timely manner. (Database management required)
- Being knowledgeable about BridgeTEFL teacher-training programs, job placement services, and other TEFL-related products and services.
- Maintaining excellent communication with clients, responding to their questions in a timely manner.
- Conducting webinars.
- Attending conferences and/or fairs if needed.
Post-Enrollment Advising Duties
- Providing job placement support to TEFL course graduates.
- Assisting with professional development of course graduates—review resumes, cover letters, personal statements.
- Giving monthly jobs presentation to onsite TEFL course participants.
- Counseling candidates about living and working abroad.
- Searching for job postings in areas that we do not have strong contacts or if our current contacts do not have openings.
Bookings Duties
- Maintaining excellent relationships with our customers, agents & partners worldwide.
- Processing enrollments, collecting applicant documents (database management).
- Interviewing and screening applicants for teaching positions abroad.
- Creating and sending acceptance letters and prepare-to-go materials to program participants.
- Answering applicant questions by phone and by email; addressing customer complaints.
- Regularly updating all email templates and prepare-to-go documents.
- Finalizing all details of a participant’s program to ensure a smooth and rewarding experience.
- Following up with participants during and after their program to collect feedback.
Marketing Support
- Writing for our blogs, newsletters and other marketing publications.
Clerical Duties May Include:
- Processing payments & refunds in accordance with program terms & conditions.
- Ensuring that all program balances are paid in full on time.
- Accounts payable/receivable.
- Reconciling and submitting end-of-month sales reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- TEFL certification
- Sales experience
- Experience teaching English abroad
- High degree of global awareness

Salary:
Base salary is $27,000 – $30,000 depending on experience, plus incentives. Benefits package includes health insurance.
